Cross country roadtrip

I got to spend most of the summer back in CA, which was amazing! I got to see so many cool things on my drive! My favorite thing was probably the Arches national park in Moab, Utah! We also saw the Arch in St Louis, Austin TX, the graveyards in New Orleans, and got to go hiking in Asheville! It was A LOT of time in the car but a great experience!!

Outer banks

I have been lucky enough to travel to the Outer Banks of North Carolina for work. It is one of my favorite things about this state. There isn't a whole lot to do up there but the beaches are gorgeous! There is even a beach with wild horses! It was a dream come true to see them!! There are also several giant light houses, which I have always been fascinated with.

Charleston

Charleston, South Carolina is a cute southern town that we enjoy visiting. It is about a 3-4 hour drive from Wilmington. It has that southern charm along with great restaurants and shopping. Its a fun weekend adventure (and it is also where the notebook was filmed).

The Architecture everywhere is so awesome! It is a very fun place to photograph, there is something scenic and different around each corner!

Bahama Mama

I realized I have not updated this blog in forever!!! Since my last post I have been enjoying visiting new places in the south, decided that I am ready to move back to the West Coast, got engaged to the love of my life, and am braving another deployment! Life is never boring here!

Over Christmas AJ and I took a cruise to the Bahamas and Key West! It was SO much fun!!! As beautiful as it was to see the resorts, It was also so cool to get to see some of the culture. In Nassau, they were having a celebratory/religious parade that they have twice a year. Those costumes were heavy and it was SO hot outside!

In Freeport we took a boat to a Dolphin swim. The scenery was go beautiful and the people intrigue me. I loved the look of this man below!

Swimming with the dolphins was absolutely amazing and something I would do again in a heartbeat! They are incredible creatures!

My new home down South

I know its been a while since I posted anything new....I have put a halt on my travels to move to North Carolina with my boyfriend several months ago when he got stationed out here for work. I do miss traveling a lot, but it is so nice being home every night and I couldnt be happier now that AJ and I finally get to be together! There will plenty of adventures out here photographing the East coast/South and starting a new life! We got a puppy named Hero who has lived up to his name, recently surviving Parvo! He is a 14 week old black lab/chow mix and is adorable! Here are some pictures of our recent adventures out here in Wilmington, NC :)

We got snow a few weeks ago and took Hero down to Wrightsville beach in hopes of seeing snow on the shore! There were remnants of it, but not as much as I had hoped to see...still awesome though! There were people surfing which is crazy in the freezing water, but would have been very neat!

Hometown Glory

Sometimes I get so caught up in seeing other places that I forget to remember how beautiful the place I call home is and how many wonderful photo opportunities there are here.

The beaches are wonderful and I don't think I could ever get sick of Dana Point and Laguna

This is my baby brother on a day at the beach

The sunsets here can be miraculous <3

And Whale/Dolphin watching is a fun thing to do as well

As much as I love traveling, I also love being home and hope to raise my family here someday too. Even the rainy days are gorgeous!!

Washington DC

When I was younger I had no appreciation for the history and beauty of Washinton DC. I have been there several times this past year and have fallen in love with the place.

It probably has something do do with the fact that I have become much more patriotic in the last few years thanks to AJ. But I love the beauty of this city.

There is so much to do and see, and all the museums are FREE!! This is a city that every American needs to see someday!

This picture makes me so happy! I can't wait until this day in the picture in June when AJ and the boys return!!
